Singing as Collective Activism

Date Range

Session

Minnesota's Twin Cities have faced profound public tragedies in recent years. This year, as the region confronted a sweeping federal immigration enforcement operation, the community again rallied together. As events unfolded before a global audience, collective activism rooted in music emerged as a primary tool for bringing people together, processing shared trauma, and advocating for change. With song as the throughline, join Abbie Betinis, Jane Ramseyer Miller, and Kimberly Waigwa as they share resources to engage singers (and non-singers) in activism.
